Narconon Ojai Holds 6th Annual Golf Tournament at Ojai Valley Inn

 

Narconon Ojai held its 6th Annual Golf Tournament on May 17, 2026, at the Ojai Valley Inn in Ojai, California. The day brought together community leaders, law enforcement, supporters, and guests for a charity event that supported the Ventura Sheriff's Foundation and kept attention on the center's drug rehabilitation work in Ventura County.

The center sits on 43 acres at 9950 Sulphur Mountain Road in Ojai. It is licensed by the California Department of Health Care Services as a non-medical adult residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation program and is licensed by Narconon International to deliver the Narconon program.

A Day at the Ojai Valley Inn

More than 60 supporters of Narconon Ojai attended. Actor Patrick Renna, known for The Sandlot and more recently Monster Summer, co-hosted the tournament and spent the day taking photographs and signing autographs. Patrick also brought actor Kyle Howard to play in the tournament. Renna's team finished second.

Also in attendance was Ventura County Sheriff James Fryhoff, who won first place in the tournament. Members of the Ventura County Sheriff's Office took part throughout the day. Also present were former Ojai Police Chief Captain Steve Jenkins and Commander Ron Chips, who leads the Sheriff's Special Services Division and oversees the Sheriff's Forensic Services Bureau. Sheriff Fryhoff brought his daughter to play with him.

Support for Local Law Enforcement and Prevention

A central moment of the day was the check presentation. Fabian Padro presented a donation to Sheriff Fryhoff in support of the “Shop With a Cop” program, which helps underprivileged children during the holiday season with gifts, clothing, and school supplies. Accepting the donation, Sheriff Fryhoff spoke about his partnership with Narconon, the effectiveness of the program in drug rehabilitation, and the value of having recovery services available to families in the community. He has attended the annual event for several years and has spoken at Narconon graduations.

Music, Lunch, and Closing

After the rounds, guests shared a BBQ lunch. Indie artist and performer Rett Madison sang for the group. Prize giveaways followed, and the day closed with a group photograph.

Narconon Ojai continues its residential rehabilitation work in Ojai and its community partnerships in Ventura County, including collaboration with local law enforcement on recovery and prevention. The annual golf tournament remains one of the ways the center brings those partners together.
