Narconon Japan Recognized by Government Leaders

 

City council member Yohei Higashi toured Narconon Japan. He wanted to get to know more about the program and how Narconon Japan helps those addicted to drugs. After the visit, he published an article about the visit describing the program and the drug problem in Japan. After Mr. Higashi’s visit, he stated, “The history of becoming addicted varies from person to person, and in many cases it is the result of an unlucky life, and it makes me sad that it could have happened to me as well. I want to live in a society where people can start over if they put in the effort, and I think it’s good to have more options.”

As part of being recognized by the Ministry of Health & Welfare as a drug rehabilitation center, Narconon Japan is also mentioned in a booklet available on the Ministry of Health & Welfare’s website to educate families about what to do when dealing with someone on drugs.

Masahiro Kamino, Executive Director, and Yumie Umakawa, D/ED Production Narconon Japan, presented the Narconon program to Mr. Nobuhiko Isaka, Member of the Japanese House of Representatives. Narconon will participate in the next lecture hosted by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare together with Mr. Isaka, and he will introduce Narconon to the audience. During the meeting, Mr. Isaka understood the need to address the drug problem and that the Narconon program is a reasonable and effective program that Japan needs.
