Narconon Arrowhead: 2024–2025 Year in Review and Community Impact

Narconon Arrowhead Award 2025 from State Rep

For nearly three decades, the Narconon network’s flagship drug rehabilitation and international training center, Narconon Arrowhead, on Lake Eufaula in southeastern Oklahoma, has helped individuals overcome addiction. Throughout 2024 and 2025, the center drew recognition from public officials at state and federal levels and widened its reach into the surrounding communities.

Recognition at the State Capitol

In late February 2024, as the Narconon program marked its fifty-eighth anniversary, Senator George E. Young presented Narconon Arrowhead with a proclamation honoring L. Ron Hubbard, the founder of the Narconon program, at the Oklahoma State Capitol in Oklahoma City. The proclamation acknowledged the method Hubbard developed, which is applied at Arrowhead and at Narconon centers around the world.

Narconon Arrowhead was further recognized in January 2025 by Representative Jim Grego with a citation from the State of Oklahoma, recognizing its work in addiction recovery.

Engaging the Professional Field

Arrowhead's work in 2025 reached healthcare professionals and the wider treatment field. In January, eleven nurses in training from Kiamichi Tech toured the center to see how the program operates. In December, the center took part in the Momentum Conference held in Oklahoma City by the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse, where two staff members spoke with attendees about the program.

In October, a representative of Narconon Arrowhead briefed the Rotary Club in McAlester about the program. She was joined by a recent graduate who shared his recovery story, and who has since joined staff at Narconon Arrowhead.

Carrying the Message Beyond the Center

In July 2024, Narconon Arrowhead graduate Bobby Newman was interviewed on a podcast called “The Don’t Do Nothing,” where he spoke about the program and about helping individuals struggling with drugs. His account gave listeners a direct view from someone who had completed the program and gone on to support others finding the same path.

Reaching the Surrounding Communities

Narconon Arrowhead carried its prevention work around Lake Eufaula. In July 2025, the center distributed drug education materials at the Muscogee Nation Festival and in the city of McAlester, bringing information about the dangers of drugs directly to families across the region.

Throughout 2024 and 2025, Narconon Arrowhead continued its nearly thirty years of service on Lake Eufaula, recognized by state and federal officials and licensed by Oklahoma’s mental health authority, while keeping its focus on the individuals working toward lasting recovery.
