A Mother’s Call, A Son’s New Life: How Narconon Rebuilt My Family

T.F., Narconon Graduate

My hometown is Cassville, Missouri. It’s a typical small Midwestern town. I would consider myself to have had a pretty normal childhood. I went to school and loved playing sports, especially football and baseball.

I first tried meth when I was 13, but got into it big time when I was around 17 years old. My life went downhill from there.

In the years after that, I lost everything. My family relationships were destroyed, I lost my girlfriend, and lost every job I ever had.

I got to what I call the bottom of the barrel, and knew this could not go on any longer. I wanted help and I wanted to change but did not know where to turn. And then, just as I made that decision, my mother called me out of the blue and told me that she wanted me to go to the Narconon facility in Louisiana. I knew nothing about Narconon and had never done a drug rehab program, but I was ready. My mom called the Narconon center and the next day I was on a plane on my way there.

I was high when I arrived there. I felt horrible and at first I wanted to leave. But the staff were amazing and I decided to stay and do the program. It was perfect for me. The sauna and exercise program healed my body. My heart rate went back to normal and I felt brand new. The rest of the program was equally beneficial and when I finished I had gotten my life back.

“I have peace of mind and I enjoy life and being able to
live it the way it was meant to be lived.”

My relationships with my family and kids have been repaired. I am married now to the woman I had lost and we had another baby that is now 14 months old. I have peace of mind and I enjoy life and being able to live it the way it was meant to be lived. I can look forward to a long happy life and growing old.

My advice to others who are addicted to drugs is this: you know what you are doing is not ok, and know what you need to do. Make up your mind to change and handle the addiction and get help to do so.
