Narconon Program Made My Life a Lot Better

B.N., Narconon Graduate with family

I grew up and currently live in California in a valley between 2 beautiful mountain ranges, and enjoy every day with my wife and beautiful kids.

But I could have lost all of this, as you will see from my story below.

I had a good childhood. I had great parents, 2 younger brothers who I love, played baseball, soccer, football, did BMX racing, and was always very active.

Things started to go the wrong direction when I took up smoking weed at 14 with my cousin, who would bring marijuana with him from Los Angeles. This progressed to using meth by the time I was 17. My use went from once a month to every weekend to every day, and I was fully addicted. I tried a few other drugs such as cocaine, mushrooms, LSD and MDMA but meth was my drug of choice.

I was a functioning addict. I ate, slept and went to work every day, but my money all went to drugs, including money I got from selling my car and trailer home. I did 4 stints in jail and ended up on probation for 12 years and at one point, with a warrant out for my arrest, decided to kill myself. I even called my mother to tell her I loved her, as a way of saying goodbye.

My parents had suspected that I was doing drugs but did not know what to do about it, however at this point my mother took charge, found Narconon drug rehab on the Internet and invited me over for dinner. When I arrived at her house I found the whole family there as well as an individual from Narconon. They wanted me to go to Narconon, and at that point I was ready to try rehab and agreed to do it.

I arrived at Narconon very skinny and under-nourished and just fell asleep, waking up at noon the next day. At first, I wondered if I did the right thing. I did not understand the program and saw guys in withdraw coming down off drugs who seemed to be worse off than I was. I decided I wanted to quit, but one of the staff took me under his wing and got me through that and helped me all the way through the program. I consider that he saved my life.

Once I made the decision to do the program, I really worked at it. I was more honest about my life than I had ever been and though I was in the program longer than some others, I made sure that I was getting everything possible out of it so that my addiction would be gone forever. One of my biggest wins on the program was being able to believe in myself and knowing I did not need drugs to fit in.

“While doing the program my goal for the future was to have a clean sober life, get married, have kids and have a normal life.”

While doing the program my goal for the future was to have a clean sober life, get married, have kids and have a normal life. I remembered a girl that I had met who lived in the apartment complex next to me, and thought I would like to marry her.

I have accomplished all of that and more. The girl is now my beautiful wife and we have 2 wonderful kids. I have a good job. I have an honest life and feel great.

I would recommend Narconon to anyone, and my advice to them would be to try the program and to do it to the fullest ― it will make their life a lot better.
