Dr. Rohit S. Adi, MD
Medical Director, Narconon New Life Retreat
Rohit Adi is a medical doctor with a diverse background of service, having worked as an Emergency Room Physician since 1992 in Louisiana and having served as the Medical Director for Narconon New Life Retreat in Denham Springs, Louisiana, since 2006. His areas of expertise include Internal Medicine, Emergency Medical Care and Addiction Medicine.
Born in Gujarat, India, Rohit received his medical degree from the Medical College of Baroda in 1983, followed by residency in Internal Medicine at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. He opened a private practice in Slatington, Pennsylvania which he ran until 1993.
In 1993 Rohit became licensed with the Louisiana Board of State Medical Examiners and started as an Emergency Room Physician at Our Lady of Lourdes in Lafayette, transitioning in the same year to Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center and his impressive tenure continues to this day.
In 1996, he became certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
As an Emergency Room Doctor, Rohit witnessed first-hand the devastating effects of substance abuse and its effects on the community. He watched these effects escalate following Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and in 2006 he assisted in founding Narconon New Life Retreat. He serves as the facility’s Medical Director.
