The Narconon program doesn’t use any medications during recovery. Instead, each person learns from the very beginning how enjoyable a fully drug-free life can be. When a person learns how to truly enjoy their productive and sober life, they aren’t attracted to the old destructive life they left behind. This philosophy guides every facet of the Narconon program.
Inside, this villa was redesigned so it would be comfortable for each person getting through the steps of the program. The first step is a closely-supervised withdrawal from the drugs the person was taking before arrival. This step is completed in a separate building to provide a calm and protected environment.
Some people may need a medical supervised withdrawal before arriving at Narconon Aurora. But many people find this medication-free process quite tolerable. Generous doses of nutritional supplements calm the body’s symptoms. Assists, gentle procedures to relax the body and mind, help keep each person focused and oriented toward a more positive future.
When withdrawal is complete, each student makes daily visits to the sauna that was added to the villa. Here they’ll sweat out the toxins left in their bodies after months or years of alcohol or drug abuse. Soon, the whole world looks fresher and brighter. Many people finishing this step say their cravings are greatly reduced and their viewpoints are much more positive.
