Drug treatment experience

  • 1983-1991: Medical consultant at Eugenia Hospital, a psychiatric facility outside Philadelphia. Patients included those in drug rehab, of whom I evaluated and treated over 1000 patients. I also organized and managed an acute detoxification unit in the hospital, treating several hundred patients for drug and alcohol withdrawal.
  • 1985-1991: Organized and was medical director of a 12-bed acute detoxification unit at Chestnut Hill Hospital in Philadelphia. Over a 6-year period we treated over 2000 patients.
  • 2000-2015: Treated clients at Narconon of Southern California, a drug rehab facility. To the present I have managed over 2000 individuals with substance abuse problems. Over the last 6 years I have also provided acute detoxification services for Narconon, involving over 500 clients.
  • 2006-2012: Medical consultant for Pur Detox, an acute detox facility in Orange County. Treated approximately 300-400 clients.
