Rehab Facility
Macedonia opened the doors to a new Narconon drug rehab center in 2004. This was to fulfill a need for a good rehabilitation and prevention center as the population suffers from a ready availability of drugs, especially heroin.
Macedonia is directly on one of the world’s major drug trafficking paths. Heroin from Afghanistan travels a well-worn route from its origin point to Western and Central Europe, using the Balkans as a conduit. From the west comes cocaine, transported from South America, also destined for European drug appetites.
The Narconon drug rehab center was founded in the village of Konopishte, a short drive from Kavadartsi. Once you leave the town of Kavadartsi, you drive directly into the mountains for a little under an hour until you reach the village of Konopishte. On the edge of the village, there are two large buildings that house the Narconon center.
Environment
Here the stresses of the city are left behind and here, in the fresh air and with the hills and lakes all around, a person can focus on his own recovery.
Detoxification Center
For the New Life Detoxification, which is an integral part of the Narconon program, there is a sauna and exercise facilities.
Guest Rooms
Also, within the two houses are the student guest rooms, as well as classrooms for the Life Skills courses which help develop skills needed to live a drug-free life.

Nutritional dining helps speed recovery and repair. We provide every element aligned to your success on the program.
Here in the remote countryside, there is also ample privacy for each person so he can make the adjustment from the trauma of the past to the new sober life he has begun at Narconon.
