NARCONON Works

NARCONON, recently introduced to Delaware, can be described as the most rapidly growing drug abuse program in this country. Since the first of this year it has grown from three operating programs to 17, and is in demand from almost every section of the country.

Why? Because NARCONON is effective. It is producing consistently good results. It has exploded the myth that drug abusers must remain semi-invalids, sheltered from society, or remain addicted to substitute drugs such as methadone. NARCONON graduates return to society as able, contributing citizens.

Each passing day some thousands of young people start on the tragic, descending spiral of drug abuse. Through it some will lose their lives. Others will seriously impair their future. Still others, involved in no other ways than having failed to take responsibility for drug abuse will fall victim to drug-induced crimes. While not seen or heard by everyone, the battered head, the blood spattered faces, the convulsive death rattle gasps connected with drug abuse are becoming more and more common.

To reverse the trend, to save these lives, to take responsibility for this devastating drug scene is a tremendous challenge. The NARCONON staff and members have accepted it. We invite you to accept it too, help take responsibility for the area and join by becoming a member. [write us].
