Narconon Day Proclaimed by City of Anaheim, California

WHEREAS, Narconon was founded 25 years ago by an Arizona State Prison inmate who began the drug rehabilitation program by successfully rehabilitating himself and other inmates addicted to heroin, alcohol and other drugs; and
WHEREAS, there are now 24 Narconon Centers in 12 countries around the world using the effective drug-free treatment with a 75 percent success rate during a one-to-two year period after treatment; and
WHEREAS, Narconon staff and volunteers have dedicated many hours to fighting the war on drugs through drug education/prevention presentations delivered in schools, juvenile facilities and community organizations, and by rehabilitating those who have become addicted to alcohol, heroin and other drugs.
NOW BE IT HEREBY PROCLAIMED by the Anaheim City Council that August 17, 1991 be designated
“NARCONON DAY IN ANAHEIM”
and we congratulate those people who will be receiving the Drug Free Hero awards for their successful efforts in preventing drug addiction and rehabilitating drug addicts worldwide.
