To Explore Drug Abuse

NEW LONDON—Narconon, a drug rehabilitation program here, is coordinating activities through the end of June as part of Alcohol and Drug Awareness Month.

Odd Krogrud, the New London Police Department’s youth officer, will present a drug abuse prevention program this week to all the city’s Grade 6 students.

The film “Born Hooked” will be shown and discussions on the long-term effects of drug abuse will be held in a program for New London High School seniors today, given by Patricia O’Neill of Narconon.

An anti-drug coalition is being formed in Southeastern Connecticut during June. The coalition is open to anyone interested in helping with drug and alcohol education, prevention and rehabilitation.
