Lt. Col. (Ret.) Mark Jones last week was recipient of the first Intra-Science Foundation Community Service Award in honor of his dedication and achievements in drug rehabilitation as director of the Narconon Drug and Criminal Rehabilitation program.

Presentation look place at the Intra-Science Foundation symposium on “Mechanism of Drug Addiction” Dec. 2 at the Miramar Hotel. Three-day event, beginning Nov. 30, also featured internationally known authorities in drug and other related fields.

Narconon, a non-profit organization close to seven years old, now operates the largest and one of the most successful criminal drug abuse rehabilitation programs in the United States, currently administering 19 prison and community programs. It recently established successful programs in Mexico, Canada, Sweden and New Zealand.
