hereby presents this certificate to

NARCONON
UPON THE OCCASION OF ITS HAWAII FUNDRAISING DINNER

WHEREAS, the Narconon program was founded by William Benitez, an inmate of Arizona State Prison in 1966; by applying the principles contained in a book by author L. Ron Hubbard, Benitez and dozens of other inmates were able to permanently end their addictions to heroin; and

WHEREAS, the Narconon program has evolved from a simple beginning to a worldwide network of drug prevention and drug-free social education rehabilitation centers; Narconon centers around the world educate hundreds of thousands of people and rehabilitate thousands of addicts; and

WHEREAS, the Narconon program is a non-profit public benefit organization dedicated to eliminating drug abuse through prevention, education and rehabilitation; and

WHEREAS, on May 24, 2007, Kelly Preston and John Travolta will host a private benefit dinner at Stage Restaurant at the Honolulu Design Center, presented by Executive Chef Jon Matsubara; all proceeds will go toward the establishment of the first Narconon residential drug rehabilitation center in Hawaii; now, therefore,

The House of Representatives of the Twenty-Fourth Legislature of the State of Hawaii, hereby congratulates Narconon on the occasion of its fundraiser for its first residential drug rehabilitation center in Hawaii and offers its heartfelt thanks for its many contributions and commitment to the people of Hawaii.
