Narconon Investigating Drug Abuse in East Lyme CT

East Lyme First Selectman George Seebeck met recently with a representative of the Narconon Connecticut, Inc. drug rehabilitation program, to discuss the problems of drug abuse in this community.

Patricia O’Neill, a representative of Narconon, said, “Narconon is in East Lyme as part of a state-wide campaign to wage war on drug abuse in Connecticut.” She met with Mr. Seebeck to gather information on specific drug abuse problems in East Lyme.

After preliminary research is completed, Narconon will initiate a major campaign against drug abuse in the state.

Governor Ella Grasso has proclaimed May 15-June 30 Alcohol and Drug Awareness Month in Connecticut, and Narconon’s campaign coincides with this action.

Narconon Connecticut, a New London-based program, provides services to the residents of Connecticut and is part of the national network of Narconon programs, all of which use the drug rehabilitation technology of L. Ron Hubbard. The programs have received recognition from government officials throughout the nation. The Connecticut program was established in 1972 and receives state and local funding.
