NARCONON RECEIVES $64,000 IN GOVERNMENT GRANTS

NARCONON NEW LIFE has been granted $44,000 by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors to put more people onto their NARCONON Program. NEW LIFE is a halfway house directed by Ben Gibson, and offers NARCONON courses to the public as well as to the recently released from prison.

NARCONON of DELAWARE located in the Delaware Correctional Center has signed a $20,000 contract to expand that program there. This program has turned out over 100 graduates since May of 1973. This program is now run by Mike Roylance.

FOUNDING CHAPTER CELEBRATES 8th ANNIVERSARY

On March 16, 1974, NARCONON Founding Chapter, Arizona State Prison will have their Congress in celebration of the 8th Anniversary of the founding of Narconon in the Arizona State Prison, by William C. Benitez.

This program existed for 5 12 years as the only Narconon program in existence. Then in late 1971 a Chapter was started at SCC in Safford, Arizona.

It was only in the first part of 1972 that Narconon U.S. was formed under the leadership of Mark Jones and Arthur J. Maren. Since 1972, Narconon has grown into an international network of public, private, and prison programs. There are 34 Narconon programs to date.

C.M.C. 2nd ANNUAL BANQUET

On Monday, January 14, 1974, about 100 inmates and 30 people from the “free world” gathered to celebrate the 2nd Annual Narconon banquet at the California Mens Colony, in San Louis Obispo.

Rodney Keim, the inmate director of Narconon was the M.C., and handed out all the course completion certificates. The event was a smashing success.

VALIDATION OF MEMBERS

The Narconon Members and those people who have donated money and services to Narconon in the past are to be highly validated!

You have kept the Narconon U.S. Management Office operating and expanding for two years.

You have helped to fund the establishing of 34 Narconon programs in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and overseas.

You have provided countless books, course packs, and other related course materials to help inmates free themselves of their bonds.

You have funded the printing of thousands of promotion pieces to be printed and sent out to influential people all over the world.

You have provided for the training of many supervisors, counselors, and administrative personnel who have in turn staffed area offices, and run prison programs.

You have provided thousands of gallons of gasoline for our staff to drive countless miles, getting to and from the prisons where inmates are actually going free.

You have helped send Narconon trained representatives to many parts of the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Europe on “Missions” to see that our area offices are applying the Narconon technology standardly.

And most important of all, you have provided the moral support necessary to keep Narconon staff on the move, even when the going was rough, to make Narconon the successful dynamo that it is today.

Our success is yours! You are very highly validated!

Success

My win (gain) is that I am now able to confront others more easily. Also, I have more self control. I owe this success to the Narconon Communications Course.

R.S. (an inmate)

I have had many wins using the Narconon course. I now have overcome my insecure feelings that I have experienced with others in the past, as far as my confronting them while talking with them goes. I have another win in that I have received a good job and residence letter and it was accepted. I have also had a win in that by helping others, I find I am helping myself at the same time.
