PRIVATE RESIDENTIAL REHAB
As someone who has both attended and worked at a residential rehabilitation center, I can easily list several reasons why I think residential rehab is the best way to face their addiction.
Everyone has an opinion on the best way to get off drugs and alcohol. But some people don’t believe that anyone can break free from addiction, that addiction is a disease and one has it for life.
Over the last 50 years, the way we look at addiction has evolved. Then, as in earlier times, it was seen as a moral failing or weakness. Individuals who found themselves addicted felt they had nowhere to turn for help, and the social stigma of addiction created barriers to those desperately trying to find recovery.
Overcoming hardships is a part of the natural process of life. I don’t think anyone could say that life is “easy” for anyone. Challenges and obstacles are things we must all face from time to time. It’s just a part of life on planet Earth. Welcome to the show.
When I was a kid growing up on the family farm, working on cars, barns, houses, tractors, anything that moved and shouldn’t, or anything that should move and didn’t, my dad used to tell me something that stuck with me to this day.
