President
NARCONON

…I commend you for your leadership in honoring the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by supporting the MLK Day of Service/Justice Sunday National Continuum. You have played a critical role in raising awareness and action to assist the thousands of men, women and children who face the consequences of crime and incarceration. …you have recognized the urgent need for volunteers to intervene in the lives of youth most at risk as mentors and in other ways which will help to reduce potential contact with criminal justice system.

…Volunteering can be demanding, and the hours are long. Often individuals seem to labor in obscurity, making sacrifices that only a divine presence could know. Such is the nature of serving and a quality for which you deserve this honor…

Sincerely,

Danny K. Davis
