Office of the Governor The Governor of the State of Rhode Island

WHEREAS, founded on the inspiration of William Benitez inside the walls of Arizona State Prison twenty-five years ago, the Narconon Program treats thousands of individuals throughout the world who suffer from drug and alcohol addiction; and

WHEREAS, aiming to make our society drug-free, Narconon is fighting the war through prevention and education in our schools, juvenile facilities, and community organizations, as well as offers rehabilitation to those already addicted; and

WHEREAS, we honor not only the staff at the Narconon Centers for their outstanding leadership, but the volunteers who carry the message of hope through their valuable assistance; and

WHEREAS, as Governor of America’s thirteenth state, I am pleased to join in celebrating twenty-five years of accomplishments by Narconon and I call on all Rhode Islanders to support this wonderful program.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, BRUCE SUNOL UN, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF RHODE ISLAND AND PROVIDENCE PLANTATIONS, DO HEREBY PROCLAIM
